We're running it back

After the success of Volume V, we're bringing the community together again for another fast-paced calisthenics competition where any level athlete can step up and compete.

Same format as last time, with a few updated movements in the Advanced and Elite divisions to keep the challenge fresh.

Beginner and Intermediate divisions stay exactly the same. So if you've been training, or you've just been thinking about trying your first event, this is your shot.

Two Ways To Run It

Open Run or Competitive Run.

Two ways to take part. The difference is whether you're being scored, and whether there's anything for you to pick.

Option 01

The Open Run

Beginner stations only

Think about a 5K. Most people who sign up for one aren't trying to beat anybody. They sign up because they said they'd do it, then they show up and do it.

The Open Run works the same way. You're not scored and you're not ranked. You set the goal, you go get it, and nobody's numbers matter but yours.

There's nothing to choose, either. The Open Run is the Beginner stations, and only the Beginner stations. Everybody in it does that same workout and gets whatever reps they get. Five or fifty, it's the same run.

Finish the Open Run and you get a medal, no matter your reps. No placement, no podium. You did what you came to do.
Option 02

The Competitive Run

Beginner through Elite

For the athletes who came to race. Every rep is judged and scored against everyone else in your division.

This is where divisions come in. Pick the one that matches where you're at, Beginner through Elite, and that's who you're up against.

Top three in every division take home a place.

The workouts

Same movements, different standards as you move up. Pick a division to see exactly what you'll face and how every rep is judged.

The Beginner Division is for athletes new to calisthenics or still building strength. Assistance bands are used where appropriate, so everyone experiences the full competition while being challenged at their own level. Five stations, same order, with a 1:30 rest between each.

Station 1
Band-Assisted Pull-Ups
Band assistedUntil failure
  • As many strict pull-ups as possible using the assistance band provided
  • Set ends at muscular failure or a missed standard
Station 2
Bodyweight Squats
1:30
  • As many legitimate squats as possible before the timer expires
Station 3
Straight Bar Push-Ups
Until failure
  • Strict straight bar push-ups until you can't complete another legitimate rep
Station 4
Hop + Burpees
1:30
  • As many legitimate reps as possible before time expires
Station 5
Band-Assisted Dips
Band assistedUntil failure
  • As many strict assisted dips as possible before muscular failure

Divisions only apply to the Competitive Run. The Open Run is always run at Beginner level, so there's nothing to sort out, you just show up and run those stations like everyone else in it.
